American Idol Winner Is David Cook!


On the American Idol 7 season finale results show, Ryan Seacrest announced that ninety-seven and a half million votes came in for the two finalists. Seacrest also added that one David received 56% of the vote, and the other David received 44% of the vote. In Kansas City, Missouri, Mikalah Gordon led a hometown celebration for David Cook. American Idol Final Performances: Simon Cowell Calls A Knockout For David Archuleta!


The American Idol final two performance show kicked off like it was a championship boxing match. An announcer introduced David “Sugarfoot” Cook and David “Babyface” Archuleta, who were both decked out in boxing gear. American Idol Final Three: David Cook Wins The Night!


On the American Idol final three performance show, David Archuleta, Syesha Mercado, and David Cook performed three songs each. To kick off the show, the finalists performed a song selected by the judges. David Archuleta sang “And So It Goes,” which was chosen by Paula Abdul. Randy Jackson said, “You are in the zone. You are in it to win it, baby.” Paula Abdul said, “Tonight, I really felt that you were a storyteller.” Simon Cowell said, “It was good.
