To kick off the American Idol top 9 performance show, Ryan Seacrest announced that due to industrial action by the League of American Vocal Coaches that American Idol was pre-empted. Instead, Seacrest revealed that a celebrity edition of The Moment Of Truth starring Simon Cowell would be airing. Of course, it turned out to be an April fool’s joke.
